Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa-the capital of Roman Dacia (Hateg land)
Situated at 40 km from Sarmizegetusa Regia-the anterior capital of the Dac Kingdom (Orastie mountains). Dating from the period of 110-271, the most important city in Roman Dacia. Building foundations, columns, religious temples, shrines, therms have been well preserved until today. The road to the settlement was totally rehabilitated in 2016.
Sarmizegetusa Regia-Orăștie
It was the capital and the most important military center, religious and political of the Dac State. Being the nucleus of a defense system consisting of six fortresses from Orastie mountains has been used by the Daci for defense. The Fortress is a quadrilateral from massive blocks of stone.
